Fun On The 4th!

It was nice to have an excuse to put extra chores aside for a day and have some fun. While the kids were a bit bummed about not being able to go anywhere to watch fireworks, we celebrated in our own way with a “house party”! We even put out a few decorations to complete “the feel” and Anabelle made a scrumptious, patriotic cookie pizza!! So YUMMY!

Once the sun went down, the kids were so excited to watch some pre-recorded fireworks on TV and then they headed out for a festive swim under the stars - complete with rainbow fountain lights, glow sticks and an occasional glimpse of some nearby neighborhood fireworks. The full moon rising over the trees and our giant blooms of fragrant night-blooming jasmine completed the evening.
