Birthday Girl!!

Miss Emily is officially an 8 year old!! WHAT?!?! How can that be?? While we didn’t have a big party or hang out with friends (thanks to Covid) we did have a fun day at home - filled with some of Emily’s favorite things! We started out the day with a giant take-out breakfast from Flying Biscuit! And then Otie was treated to a little pampering - as Emily requested that Otie get a cute haircut for her birthday :) Not sure that Otie particularly enjoyed himself … but Emily was very pleased with the end result and Otie even wore a spiffy little polo shirt for the occassion! We opened presents, got to Skype with Daddy and of course, ate cake and ice cream. We had, what the kids refer to as, “a junky lunch” of hotdogs, Lays potato chips and juice boxes, the kids swam in the pool and we wrapped up the day with one of Emily’s favorite dinners - take out Chinese food!! Happy birthday sweet Emily!! We can’t beleive that you’re already 8 years old! You are such a compassionate, considerate, hard-working, animal loving little lady!
