Fernandina Beach Go'ers

The Summer truly flew by and the days seemed so busy! But towards the end of July, we did manage to squeeze in a quick family get-away to one of our favorite spots - Fernandina Beach!

We managed to rent a tiny, 1 bedroom condo unit and while quarters were a tad bit "cozy" for the 5 of us ... it was right on the beach ... which was really all that mattered! The girls actually LOVED getting to sleep on the sleeper sofa (perhaps the most uncomfortable mattress ever!!) and they, of course, thoroughly loved their days at the beach!

We enjoyed staying up late and sleeping in, ice cream, late night pizza, boogie boarding, playgrounds, a beautiful full moon over the ocean ... and more ice cream! Brandon even had his first taste of ice cream ... and he definitely approved!

While it was only 3 days, it was the perfect get-away and we're glad to have been able to fit it into the craziness of Summer! Now ... let the real chaos begin and the school year resumes!!!
