"Our Not-So-Little Man!"

So our little man is not so little anymore! This was a big birthday for him and he had been counting down the days, weeks and months for quite some time! Expectations were high - and other than Daddy not being able to celebrate with us - I think this 5 year old had a very fun day!

He woke up before the alarm because he was so excited! His “birthday brownie breakfast” kept him full until it was time to share “birthday pumpkin donuts” with his classmates at school! (There was no shortage of junk food!).

He was so eager to get home to open presents after school and to have a giant piece of his Spiderman cake! We got to Facetime with Daddy while opening presents - so we didn’t get many photos - but between his new bike, “real” robot, remote control monster truck and authentic Army uniform - this little man (I mean, big guy) did quite well in the gift department. He even got more treats and goodies after a visit from Granny and Ms Britan!!

Traditionally, we’ve always gone the “the grass restaurant” on birthdays. And while we still are not eating out (thanks Covid!), we did get take out - a little almond crusted salmon for our birthday boy was a tasty treat!

Happy birthday little man!! You are so kind, compassionate, fashion conscious and funny! We can’t believe that you’re already 5!?!?!
