Spring Break!
Some families go on week long trips over spring break - we tend to do day trips as it’s tough to get away with all the critters and farm chores! And so we tried to make the best of the kid’s Spring break by having a few fun-filled days of local trips! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side and we weren’t able to go to Cumberland Island as planned. There were definitely some disappointed kiddos (and grown-ups) … but we made up for it by going to the local Natural History Museum … where the kids enjoyed the cool play area (and where Brandon may or may not have picked up the stomach bug from he**!).
The next day, was packed with animal encounters when we visited a local wildlife rehab facility! We got to see all kinds of fun animals and the kids even got to bottle feed newborn fawns! Right afterwards, we headed to White Oak where we got to see and interact with all kinds of different exotic animals and endangered species! This is always a fun trip and we’re very lucky to be able to enjoy this special place! We also manged to squeeze in a trip to the beach and a dinner out at “the grass restaurant” (aka Wahoo) before Brandon came down with the nastiest of nasty “stomach bugs” on Sunday. We were supposed to go to “the water park'“ aka the splash pad at Depot Park here in town, but Brandon was too sick and he was so sad that we wasn’t able to go. But don’t worry! We made it up to him by going a once he was well. Whew - it was a busy week and everyone was bummed to get back into the old routine.
Summer vacation can’t come soon enough as this momma is as ready as the kiddos for school to be out!
